Letter to my Father

Dear Pops,
How are you doing? Wow, can't believe it's been so long since we last saw. Its exactly 14 years today. How time flies. I remember it like it was yesterday. From the time u were ill to the time we got to know u had left us and till when we bade you the final farewell. Seems just like yesterday.
A lot has happened since u left us (or rather since God called you back home). The good and the bad, the unexpected and the challenging, the highs and the lows but we always came out on top by Gods grace. Infact if not for HIM, we for don park go village since. Most of those whom we thought were your friends were not really. Some gave us troubles, some ignored us, and some refused to help us when we needed them. Some just disappeared and I bet some were happy you had gone. There have been good times too (no thanks to your 'friends'). We are all grown up now, at least. Your three daughters are all married and they have given you 12 grandchildren. Guess who had the most? I bet you wouldn't think it was Uche, would you? We the boys are working towards competing with them in marriage and rearing grandchildren too. Emeka is working towards it, I'm also working towards it but you know how far now, to find woman easy, na to find wife na hin hard. The other guys are fine and I can assure you, marriage would be the least on their mind now. But they are doing fine, Ikenna just got a job, Chimezie has finished and is waiting for service and Nnamdi is in Unilag now.
Last but not the least, your darling wife, the best mother in the world. Made us become something out of nothing. Without her, I don't think we would have done this well or lasted this long. She is doing fine, haven't seen her in over a year but we talk and write each other. I know you never used the internet (you missed) but she is now a guru, sends email more than I do. Yeah, and she now has a job, doing what she loves doing; taking care of people and getting paid at that.
I know we all miss you but if there was a chance in heaven you could read this, you would miss us more.
Take care pops, see you when you see us
Cheers
